The hood has been designed for the global protection of operator, product and environment.
Biohazard cabins in class II type A1 and A2 are hoods with front opening, air inlet from outside to inside, sterile vertical laminar air flow inside the cabin and absolute HEPA filter in ejection.
Biohazard hood with vertical laminar flow Class II – Type A and B3 (A1 / A2 standard NSF049: 2002) with vertical vertical glass and
with glass side walls.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Cell cultures of human, animal and plant origin. Microbiology, virology and hematology laboratories.
Quality control in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. Recombinant DNA manipulation.

Certificate No. ZI 10 09 62765 003 according to the UNI EN ISO 12469 standard (MOD. 150 and 180).
Biological safety cabin (BIOHAZARD), with area
working station protected by vertical laminar flow in ISO 5 class, bench version, classified as class II type A1 (standard model)
and type A1 / A2 (mod. Plus) and therefore suitable for the manipulation of pathogens with low / medium biological risk.
Built in compliance with: European Standard UNI-EN 12469; UNI EN ISO 14644-1: 2001 legislation; Italian Electrotechnical Committee (CEI 66.5)
European Standard EN 1822 (for absolute HEPA filters); UNI-CIG regulation; British Standard Institution (BSI 5726) – Deutsches Institute fuer Normueng (DIN 12950). Both models also comply with the recommendations expressed by the WHO and the National Commission for the fight against AIDS of the Ministry of Health on the safety of health workers.
External carpentry in steel sheet oven-painted with epoxy powder. Internal carpentry in AISI 304 stainless steel finishing
“Scotch Brite”. Side walls in safety glass for controlling operations under the hood (only Bio Activa One model).
Shatterproof tempered front glass with vertical sliding shutter with motorized movement. h. front opening in work position: 200 mm.
Drilled worktop in AISI 304 stainless steel with “Scotch Brite” finish, composed of removable segments.
Liquid collection tank below the work surface. Membrane keyboard (soft touch) with antistatic protection.
Taken for DOP flow test and exhaust test.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
the air decontaminated by the absolute filter descends vertically with laminar flow in Class 100 on the work area and crosses the perforated plane
The contaminated air is sucked by the fan placed in the upper part of the cabin and conveyed in a plenum: here about
70% is sent back to the work area with absolute filtration while the remaining 30% is expelled externally with the aid of
of the second fan motor, after absolute filtration.
The mass of air sucked in and recycled by the main fan keeps the recovery channel in negative pressure.
The expelled air is reintegrated with an equal amount of ambient air sucked in through the front opening, creating a barrier
insulation in the area of access to the work area. Automatic adjustment of downflow air speed and exhaust air (front barrier).
ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
External carpentry in steel sheet oven-painted with epoxy powder. Internal carpentry in AISI 304 stainless steel finishing
“Scotch Brite”. Side walls in safety glass for controlling operations under the hood (only Bio Activa One model).
The shatterproof tempered front glass has vertical sliding opening and closing with motorized movement from the pushbutton panel on the control panel. The glass can also be fully opened to over 90 ° with a tilting mechanism for cleaning the interior and for introducing bulky material.
Front vertical tempered shatterproof glass with motorized movement, front opening height in work position: 200 mm.
Drilled worktop in AISI 304 stainless steel with “Scotch Brite” finish, composed of removable segments.
Liquid collection tank below the work surface. Membrane keyboard (soft touch) with antistatic protection.
Sockets for DOP flow and exha tests The electronic board is controlled by a modern and efficient microprocessor.
Predisposition through collar ∅ 250 mm for the eventual canalization outside the expelled air (optional) for the
transformation from class II type A1 (ex A) to type A2 (former B3). Automatic restart in case of electric blackout.
CONTROL PANEL
Main O / I switch with key control. Digital display with real-time reading of the vertical laminar flow and front barrier speed, expressed in meters / sec. Emergency button to increase the speed of the expulsion air flow (operator protection barrier). Operating buttons safety solenoid valve on gas tap (optional) fan motor, fluorescent and UV-C lamps, socketInternal EE. UP / DOWN button for electric window lifter. Digital electronic hour meter for general operation.Electronic digital hour meter for UV-C lamp operation (if installed). UV-C lamp operation timer (if installed) countdownsettable by the customer with auto-off at the end of the cycle.
ALARMS
Audible and visual alarms for: front window in incorrect position; downflow and / or exhaust anomalies (frontal barrier) dueclogging of the filters and / or faulty operation of the fan motors; auto-start occurred (only by flashing LED).Visual pre-alarms with signaling on display of need for next replacement for: end of UV lamp (appears after 3900 hours of lamp operation); reached limit of use of the installed filters (appears after 3900 hours of operation of fan motors).
