DNPH TUBES (aldehydes sampling)

The NIOSH, OSHA ed EPA regulations require the use of absorbent tubes for the “active” sampling of many toxic chemicals that are present in the atmosphere or into conveyed streams as gases and vapors. From the amount of sampled substances, and analytically determined, knowing the total volume of sampled air, it is possible to find the concentration present in the environment.

DNPH TUBE, are ideal for sampling aldehydes and ketones

The tubes, manufactured by AQUARIA, have been developed in compliance with the Ley No.81/2008: the two ends are in fact equipped with two tight caps. Before use it is no longer necessary to break the tube, but just remove those caps.

- Range available:
* Standard:
quantity of floresil: 75 - 150 mg
internal diameter of the tube: 5,6 mm
external diameter of the tube: 8,2 mm

* Large:
quantity of floresil: 200 - 400 mg
internal diameter of the tube: 6,4 mm
external diameter of the tube: 8,7 mm

* Jumbo:
quantity of floresil: 200 - 800 mg
internal diameter of the tube: 7,5 mm
external diameter of the tube: 10,5 mm

- Support: floresil (30 - 60 mesh). Floresil has been chosen, instead of the commonly used silica gel because this support makes DNPH more stable, reducing the increase of "white" in the time (especially with regard to the peak of formaldehyde)
- Reagent: 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (the amount of DNPH supported on the floresil is the order of 8 mg por gram of substrate. This allows to safely use the tube for sampling in polluted environments
- Porous septum: in polyethylene (to avoid adsorbing phenomena during the sampling), with high porosity to minimize the pressure drop
- Tubes ends closed by caps sealed with two stopper
- Available in packs of 5 pieces. Inside the packaging the tubes are placed in under vacuum bags of 5 pieces.
- The lot number and expiration date are reported on esch box. The user can also record data from sampling (identification number of the tube, place, date, start time and end of sampling).
- Each package is supplied  with a quality control certificate, where it is declared that the aldehyde quantity (in µg/g) found in 3 random sampling tubes.
