KIM


The cabinet KIM has been designed to protect both the operator and the surrounding external room from possible contamination by harmful chemicals coming from the work area, without interfering in the operator’s manual dexterity.

The cabinet in fact, through the fan motor, draws outside air into the work area and the same will be expelled in the upper zone. Any vapors that are dispersed during processing are conveyed outside, after molecular filtration, protecting the operator from possible toxic inhalations.

The filtered air, ejected from the cabinet, is recirculated in the room or channeled outside the room. The process of carbon absorption is closely tied to its microporous structure: to protect its integrity the hood is supplied with pre-filters that are designed to retain the particles of dust that would otherwise obstruct the pores of the carbon filter reducing the exchange surface and then the duration of the filter

MAIN FEATURES

- External chassie: in steel sheet, thickness 12/10, epoxy powder painted (lasting stability, chemical resistance).
The internal walls can be coated in PVC, on demand, in case of  use of chemical substances particularly aggressive.
- Worktop in stainless steel with raised edges to retain liquids, fully removable  from the front of the cabinet (if necessary you can request a working top with sinks)
- Front window in 6 mm tempered glass 
   ° Kim 80: vertically opening divided into two parts hinged with lock in opening
   ° Kim 120, 150 and 180: opening sliding latch vertically, positioned as required from customer
- Possibility to channel out the exhaust air from the local, when possible,  by applying a pipe directly to the collar as standard Ø 150 mm (No. 1 in the mod. Kim 80 and 120 and No. 2 in the mod. 150 and 180)
- Rear double bottom for intake in painted sheet in order to standardize the horizontal flow of air from the front of the machine.
- Predisposition to accept over the filter primary unit, a secondary filtration unit. Total thickness in height: 110 mm max

n° 2 stages  filtration  with carbonfilters thickness 40 mm, or n° 1 da 60 e n° 1  of 40)
- High-quality centrifugal motor fan, thermally protected
- Electronic board controlled by new generation microprocessor 
- Automatic regulation of the air speed able to compensate:
   * continuously changes the opening of the front glass
   * a gradual clogging of the pre-filters, carbon filters and HEPA filters
- Control panel with “soft-touch” membrane keyboard. On the control panel are:
   * machine general switch 0 / I light
   * fan motor starter button with corresponding LED
   * action button socket on internal service led
   * button switch fluorescent lamp with corresponding LED
   * ignition button lamp U.V.C. (interlocked  with the white light) on the LED and sleep timer/auto-ignition can be set by the client to countdown time (1-99 hours)
   * Digital counter of hours of motor operation and use filters
   * Continuous readout in real-time of the speed of the air entering through the front opening in the cabinet with alphanumeric display (in m / sec)
- Alarms:
   * Speed barrier insufficient air intake
   * Clogged prefilters (with LED on)
   * Need to change the filters installed, that can be reset after replacing (visual display on)
   * Need to replace the UVC germicidal lamp, that can be reset after replacing (visual display on)
- Degree of protection IP44 for electric fan motors, IP65 for control cabinet and fluorescent light
